Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are sharing their experience planning a memorial service for their daughter, Isla Marie, who was stillborn in April 2025. Duggar stated on a podcast that creating a funeral was a vital part of their grieving process, regardless of pregnancy stage. Duggar drew from her mother and sisters' past experiences with pregnancy loss, noting the support she received. A nurse friend assisted her, and another friend connected with Holy Sews, an organization providing infant funeral attire. This friend also gifted a monogrammed blanket and books, which aided Duggar's processing of the loss.

The couple found comfort in visiting Isla's burial site, located in a baby-specific area at the cemetery. Duggar described the profound sense of loss and detachment she felt upon leaving the hospital without her baby. She expressed that the memorial service brought a measure of comfort amidst her inconsolable grief, finding solace in her faith.
