On November 12, 2025, the city of Jaipur is bracing for significant traffic disruptions as the local traffic police have announced a series of diversions and parking restrictions ahead of a high-profile event by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the SMS Stadium.
According to the advisory, traffic coming from University Gate towards University Mod on Tonk Road may be diverted through parallel roads as needed. If congestion builds on Tonk Road, vehicles not heading to the event will be rerouted. Traffic moving from JDA Circle towards Rambagh Circle may also be diverted, and vehicles travelling from Statue Circle towards Polo Circle will be routed through alternative roads whenever congestion increases.
Roadways buses will operate through Narayan Singh Circle, Prithviraj T-Point, Prithviraj Road, Statue Circle, Park Prime, and Chomu House Circle. Parking will be prohibited on several major roads, and VIP vehicles will be parked inside the stadium's Archery Ground. Vehicles of the general public will be directed to designated areas at Amrudon Ka Bagh, while buses arriving for the event will be parked at the SMS Investment Ground near Ambedkar Circle.
The authorities have advised officers and employees of various government offices to use parallel routes due to the expected heavy traffic pressure on key roads. The comprehensive traffic management plan aims to ensure smooth movement and minimize disruptions during the highly anticipated event.
