Hilary Duff's eldest son, Luca, has embarked on a new chapter as he started high school. The 14-year-old began his ninth-grade year on Thursday, September 3. Duff shared a snapshot of Luca on his first day via her Instagram Story, alongside glimpses of his younger sisters, Banks and Mae, preparing for their return to school.

Duff, who welcomed Luca in March 2012 with ex-husband Mike Comrie, finalized their divorce in 2016. She has previously opened up about the isolating nature of early motherhood and her candid approach to discussing Comrie with Luca, recounting how they met and shared the pregnancy.

She also described her active involvement in her children's lives, engaging with their interests while also enforcing household discipline. Duff recently characterized her home life as "chaotic as ever but the best," highlighting the varied routines with her four children, ranging from a teenager to a toddler.
