Royal Caribbean has announced the name and exciting features of its next Icon class cruise ship, Hero of the Seas, scheduled to launch in August 2027. This new vessel will join the fleet sailing from Miami for Caribbean routes.
The Hero of the Seas will offer an expanded selection of amenities, boasting a record 28 dining venues and the most pools at sea, exceeding the offerings of its sister ships. It will feature eight distinct neighborhoods designed for families, including returning favorites like the Royal Promenade and Central Park.
Guests can look forward to enhanced aquatic adventures with nine unique pools, including Coconut Cove and the adults-only Hideaway. The waterpark will also be expanded with new slides, including the first funnel raft slide at sea. Immersive dining experiences such as the Orleans Parish Supper Club and Royal Railway will provide unique culinary journeys.
Families will also appreciate the enhanced suite options, including a new three-deck Ultimate Family Treehouse complete with a rooftop terrace and private whirlpool. Michael Bayley, CEO of Royal Caribbean, highlighted that Hero of the Seas continues to elevate the family vacation standard with more water, thrills, and choices.
