Harry & Meghan: UK School Move Stuns Royals

Six years after departing the U.K., Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly relocating with their children for an extended period. Their son, Prince Archie, aged seven, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, aged five, are scheduled to commence their schooling in Britain this September. The couple intends to maintain their primary residence in Montecito, California, as well as a vacation home in Portugal, while also acquiring non-royal property within the U.K.

King Charles III was informed of the impending move and reportedly welcomes the opportunity for more private family visits. Meghan is expected to continue managing her lifestyle brand, As Ever, from their new international base. Prince Harry plans to increase his involvement with U.K.-based charities and patronages. The long-term arrangements for their various residences remain undisclosed.

The family's decision follows their 2020 move from Canada to California, after stepping down as senior royals. Meghan previously expressed a desire to protect her family's home life, opting not to film a docuseries there. Recent social media posts by Meghan have shown glimpses of family outings, including a visit to Althorp House, the Spencer family estate.
