This January, Oli Burbage-Hall, 49, from Halifax, has embarked on a remarkable year-long running challenge. He plans to complete a total of 14 marathons and half-marathons throughout 2026, including two demanding races on the icy terrain of Greenland.
Burbage-Hall's significant undertaking is driven by a personal connection to pancreatic cancer. His inspiration stems from two former colleagues, Andrea and Wendy, who were diagnosed with the disease. Andrea sadly passed away, while Wendy is currently undergoing treatment.
The fundraising initiative directly supports Pancreatic Cancer UK, a charity that provided essential care to his colleague. The challenge commenced this past weekend with 'The Hebden,' a substantial 22-mile course around Hebden Bridge.
