Groom Ziplines to Altar, Marries Bride in Style

Maciej Mazurek, 30, achieved his James Bond-inspired wedding dreams by arriving at his ceremony via a zipline. The event took place in Perugia, Italy, where Mazurek prepared to marry Ola Nowak. He conceived the idea to install a zipline from the venue's top-floor window to the altar outside.

This daring stunt required the assistance of three rope specialists and incurred a cost of $24,000. Mazurek even practiced the zipline entry early on the morning of July 2nd. He initially considered a more elaborate helicopter entrance, but the projected cost of $300,000 made it unfeasible.

The grand arrival, set to the theme music of Skyfall, was a surprise to everyone except the bride. Mazurek described the moment he leapt from the window as "the greatest moment!" He noted that while his friends and family know he likes to go all out, they were not entirely shocked by the elaborate stunt.

Mazurek and Nowak met via Instagram in 2023 and planned their lavish Perugia ceremony for 18 months. Mazurek proposed to Nowak in December 2024 overlooking Rome. For the groom, incorporating this over-the-top entrance made his special day even more memorable.
