The couple, who met during Strictly Come Dancing in 2017, are raising their two children, Mia, six, and Thiago, three, in Manchester. They have postponed their wedding plans, with Gemma stating they wish to wait until Thiago is older, possibly next year or the year after, so he can participate in the ceremony. Previously, in 2022, wedding plans were deferred due to their demanding schedules.
Their reality show, 'Gemma and Gorka: Life Behind the Lens,' was recently cancelled after two series, despite positive ratings. Gorka has now joined the Spanish version of Strictly, 'Bailando con las Estrellas,' which requires significant time in Madrid, leading to Gemma managing childcare largely on her own, a situation she has found challenging at times.
