Concept superyacht HIVE, stretching an impressive 377ft, has been unveiled, showcasing a futuristic design that blends luxury with advanced technology. Renderings reveal a spaceship-style command center with wrap-around screens and a retractable glass roof offering celestial views, alongside an exclusive underwater lounge for observing marine life.
The vessel's interior features a striking honeycomb-like atrium with curved wooden balconies. A signature element is the suspended 66ft glass-bottom infinity pool, equipped with ContraWave technology, appearing to float weightlessly within the yacht's core. The design concept, developed by Studio De Voogt in collaboration with Feadship, was inspired by the social hubs of 1930s Parisian salons.
Despite its sci-fi aesthetic, Feadship confirms HIVE can be constructed using existing or actively developing technologies. Propulsion will be managed by advanced propellers capable of thrusting in any direction, eliminating the need for conventional rudders. Power will be supplied by three 900kW generators fueled by hydrotreated vegetable oil, supplemented by fuel cells and a substantial 5MWh battery bank. A scale model is on display at the Monaco Yacht Show.
