Ugly Sweaters & Wagging Tails: Shelter Seeks Holiday Adoptions

This holiday season, the Animal Compassion Team in Fresno is dedicated to finding homes for adoptable animals. Their recent Open House event showcased dogs parading in ugly sweaters, alongside raffles and festive treats, all aimed at increasing adoptions. The shelter is currently facing capacity challenges and is reaching out to the community for support.

Organizers acknowledge that potential adopters may be facing financial constraints during the holidays. They encourage families to visit the shelter, even if just to consider adopting a pet in the spring or to simply become involved with the organization's mission. Volunteers are also a critical need for daily operations.

The event's raffle proceeds will directly benefit the shelter's ongoing needs, contributing to its ability to care for animals year-round. This initiative highlights the shelter's commitment to animal welfare and community engagement during a time of year often associated with giving.
