22 Jul
Summary
- Haven Humane Society offers waived adoption fees in July.
- Event runs July 18 to July 26, covering cats and dogs.
- BISSELL Pet Foundation supports nationwide Empty the Shelters.
During July, Haven Humane Society is providing a significant incentive for pet adoption by waiving all associated fees. This special offer is part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation's nationwide "Empty the Shelters" event, scheduled to run from July 18 to July 26.
The initiative encompasses all cats and dogs available at the Morgan Adoption Center in Anderson and the PetSmart Adoption Kiosk in Redding. This program has a proven track record, having helped over 400,000 pets find homes across the U.S. and Canada since 2016.
Summer presents unique challenges for animal shelters, including an increase in litters and owner surrenders, often leading to overcrowded conditions. By reducing adoption costs, the "Empty the Shelters" event serves as a vital lifeline, assisting shelters and ensuring pets find loving families.
Participating pets are already spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, ensuring they are ready for their new homes. The Morgan Adoption Center is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the PetSmart Adoption Kiosk operates Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
