30 Jul
Summary

- Participants launch from Davis Ferry, ending at Tapawingo Park.
- Advance registration is required for all attendees.

The Wabash River will transform into a unique concert venue on August 8 with Float Jam, a paddling event near Lafayette. Participants can enjoy live Americana music from local artists Annie Hatke and Rosie Inman while navigating a 4.5-mile stretch of the river.
The event, hosted by the Wabash River Enhancement Corp., begins with participants launching from Davis Ferry and paddling downstream to Tapawingo Park. Organizers will provide shuttle transportation back to the launch site. Music performances are scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Registration is mandatory for all participants, including those bringing their own watercraft, due to limited boat and shuttle availability. Participants must be at least 10 years old, with children requiring adult accompaniment in the same boat. Tubes and motorboats are not permitted. Those not paddling can enjoy music from shoreline locations along the Wabash Heritage Trail.
This initiative is supported by community partners including the West Lafayette Parks Department, Visit Lafayette/West Lafayette, and the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission, along with NICHES Land Trust and the cities of Lafayette and West Lafayette.
