Red Hot Chilli Peppers bassist Flea has again listed his distinctive La Crescenta, California, compound for $5.75 million. This unique property offers buyers a chance to own two architecturally significant homes, a cabin, and extensive outdoor amenities spread across a hillside estate.
The musician, Michael Peter Balzary, initially listed the compound in February 2022 for nearly $9.8 million. After several price reductions, the estate returned to the market in September 2026 at $5.8 million, reflecting a substantial decrease from its previous asking prices. Flea purchased the estate in 2018 for $4.25 million and has since added an 875-square-foot subterranean addition completed in 2021.
The main residence is a seven-sided contemporary structure completed in 2009, designed by architect Michael Maltzan. It features expansive glass surfaces and a central courtyard. Adjacent to this is the historic Dorothy Serulnic Residence, a 1953 home designed by modernist architect Richard Neutra. This approximately 1,350-square-foot house boasts two bedrooms, expansive glass walls, and original midcentury modern built-in furnishings.
Beyond the two main residences, the grounds include a one-bedroom redwood cabin, a 50-foot lap pool, and an outdoor movie pavilion with a catering kitchen. The succulent gardens and elevated setting provide stunning mountain views. Flea also continues his musical explorations beyond the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, having released a solo jazz album titled 'Honora' in March 2026.
