One such experience left a lasting impression on Abhilash Retheesh, a 31-year-old graphic designer from Kerala. When he attended his first supper club at a Gurgaon café, he was introduced to the Bengali delicacy peyaj posto, a poppy seed dish, which he had never tasted before. "I would have never known peyaj posto if not for this experience. It's my absolute favorite now," Retheesh told TOI.
The popularity of these supper clubs is evident from the waitlist of 1,100 people for The Lost Table, a Gurgaon-based supper club started by Archit and Natasha Aggarwal. The couple aims to bring people from all corners of the city together to share unique culinary experiences beyond the regular restaurant fare. Supper clubs like Sere Supper House, Tarini's dinners in Chandigarh, and Sneha Saikia's northeastern cuisine luncheons in Delhi are also gaining a loyal following, offering guests a chance to savor authentic home-cooked meals and connect with like-minded food enthusiasts.
