Acquired in 2021 for $11 million, developer Ardie Tavangarian initially considered razing the property. However, plans shifted to a comprehensive $47 million makeover, preserving original elements.
The 1.3-acre estate will see a 12,000-square-foot expansion, incorporating a preserved "Elizabeth Taylor wing." This includes her primary suite and beauty center.
Original features like the sapphire pool, rose garden, and koi pond will largely remain. New additions include a screening room, a spa, and a retractable roof for stargazing.
