These micro-grants have been instrumental in allowing groups to acquire critical infrastructure, such as freezers and refrigerators. This investment directly enhances their capacity to offer fresh food options during distributions, meeting the escalating demand exacerbated by inflation and policy shifts.

Organizations like Antioch Baptist Church and the Salvation Army have highlighted the urgent need for such support. The program, administered through Durham Congregations in Action, is accepting applications until December 12th, offering a vital lifeline to those most affected by hunger.
