Commissioned from Garrard in 1913, Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara is a meticulously crafted replica of an older ancestral jewel. The design was inspired by the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara, originally made in the early 19th century. The replica passed to Queen Elizabeth in 1953.
