In the past year, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and his girlfriend of nearly 10 years, Brooklyn Adams, have undergone some major life changes. After Adams graduated from nursing school in August 2024, the couple decided to take the next step and buy a house in Michigan, ending their long-distance relationship.
With their personal lives settled, the couple has now turned their attention to giving back to the community. In September 2024, St. Brown and Adams co-founded the St. Brown Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on improving youth literacy in Michigan. Adams, who serves as the lead of the foundation, explains that their goal is to help raise literacy rates, as they both had great educational opportunities growing up that they want to pay forward.
The couple is deeply involved in the Detroit Lions organization and local community. Adams says the coaching staff, players' wives, and fans have all been incredibly welcoming, making them feel right at home. While game days can be stressful for Adams, she takes pride in supporting St. Brown, often making him a home-cooked meal before the game.
Despite being labeled as just a "WAG" (wife and girlfriend) by some, Adams is determined to show that she and other significant others of athletes are more than that one-dimensional title. She recently did a campaign with Abercrombie to highlight the "Woman Achieving Greatness and Success" that many of them are. With their new foundation, St. Brown and Adams are proving that they are a true power couple, both on and off the field.
