A heartwarming tractor parade is being held in Derby to commemorate Helen Mead, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2019. Her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Thornley, organized the event as a tribute to Helen's love for Christmas and her son's passion for tractors.
The initiative, which commenced in 2020, has proven to be a significant fundraising success. Last year, the parade and associated events generated more than £11,000 for vital charities including Cancer Research, the Farming Community Network, and PASIC, an organization supporting children with cancer.
This year's parade will follow a modified route, commencing in Stanton Dale at 16:15 GMT and arriving in Ashbourne town center by 19:30 GMT. The procession is expected to conclude its journey back in Stanton Dale at 21:00 GMT, with opportunities for donations available at local pubs along the way.
