Danish Royals Attend Royal Wedding on Funen

King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark recently attended a society wedding following their summer break at Gråsten Palace. The royal couple was present on Saturday for the marriage of Frederik's godson, Gregers Carl Preben Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille, to his partner Cecilie Juhl. The ceremony was held at the historic Kværndrup Kirke, located on the Danish island of Funen.

The bride, Cecilie Juhl, captivated attendees in a floor-length white gown with a distinctive train and lace sleeves. She accessorized her look with the Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille Tiara, a diamond heirloom dating back to the 19th century. Queen Mary graced the occasion in a vibrant pink pleated chiffon gown by designer Mikael Aghal, paired with a matching pink Prada purse and Gianvito Rossi heels, her hair adorned with the Edwardian Tiara.

Following the church service, guests reconvened for a private celebration at Egeskov Castle, which is managed by the groom's father, Count Michael. Among the notable attendees were Frederik's nephew, Count Nikolai of Monpezat, and his girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup. Nikolai appeared in formal attire, while Benedikte stunned in a ruched satin gown by Victoria Beckham.
