In a historic first, a four-year-old whippet named Miuccia, hailing from Venice, Italy, claimed the coveted Best in Show title. Her handler, Giovanni Liguori, described the victory as a dream come true.
The show featured a wide array of competitions, including agility, freestyle heelwork to music, and flyball, alongside the traditional breed judging. New this year was a dog grooming championship.
Organizers expanded the NEC venue into Hall 8 to showcase an increased number of contests and exhibitors. The event attracted 150,000 visitors and significant TV and radio audiences.
