A music teacher and trained operatic soprano, Hannah Drury, along with her husband Rupert, a music teacher and operatic tenor, won a £4 million mansion in the Lake District through an Omaze draw. The luxury four-bedroom property, located on the edge of Lake Coniston, boasts features like a spa, gym, and private jetty.
After a year of enjoying the home with friends and family, funded partly by a £250,000 cash prize, the couple has opted to rent it out. They aim to earn approximately £6,000 per week from rentals, a decision they state provides significant financial security and allows them to share their 'once-in-a-lifetime' property.
Mrs. Drury expressed that the win has completely transformed their lives, offering a sense of security for their children and allowing them to continue their teaching jobs by choice rather than necessity. The family plans to spend their first Christmas in the idyllic lakeside home, reflecting on the incredible year since winning the prize.
