Cosmetic Surgery Craze: Young Women Opt for Drastic Facelifts

As of November 13th, 2025, a concerning trend has emerged among young women seeking drastic cosmetic procedures. 24-year-old Georgina, who has over 115,000 followers on TikTok, recently underwent a facelift and other facial surgeries, including a brow lift and mid-facelift. Just 11 months after the procedures, Georgina is now considering a second facelift to tighten the skin around her lower face.

Georgina is not alone in her pursuit of youth-preserving cosmetic enhancements at a young age. 28-year-old beauty influencer Emily also had a mid-facelift nearly two years ago, citing a desire to be the "best version" of herself. Both women traveled to Turkey, where regulations around cosmetic surgeries are less stringent, to undergo the procedures.

Experts warn that the rise in younger patients seeking facelifts is a concerning trend, as the surgery carries significant risks, including hematoma, infection, nerve damage, and hair loss. Leading surgeons say they are often hesitant to perform facelifts on patients in their 20s and 30s, as the long-term effects on the face can be unpredictable. However, the availability of less invasive "mini" or "micro-lift" techniques, as well as the normalization of cosmetic procedures on social media, have contributed to the growing popularity of facelifts among younger women.
