Artist Creates Hilarious Claudia Winkleman Statue

A captivating statue of television presenter Claudia Winkleman has become a local talking point, created by artist Sharon Kulesa outside her home in Stowmarket, Suffolk. The artwork, inspired by the recent success of the BBC's "The Traitors," aims to bring relevant and amusing art to passers-by. Kulesa expressed hope that Winkleman would appreciate the tribute, envisioning the presenter finding it humorous and flattering.

Kulesa began her artistic endeavors during the pandemic, starting with a figure of Boris Johnson. Since then, her home's exterior has featured various life-sized models, including Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles, and local celebrities. Her Ed Sheeran depiction is a personal favorite. These creations, often made from simple materials like mannequins and recycled items, are crafted with outfits sourced from charity shops, keeping costs low.

The vibrant display has garnered significant local attention and appreciation, particularly from children attending the nearby primary school. Resident Matt Jerome noted the joyful anticipation of seeing new figures, though his dogs sometimes find them startling. The Winkleman model alone received over 1,000 reactions on Facebook, highlighting its popularity within the community. Kulesa is considering a future project of Winnie-the-Pooh for its 100th birthday.
