Clarkson's Pub Hosts 250+ Labradors
25 Oct
Summary
- Over 250 Labradors and 600 people attended the event.
- Proceeds support farmers' mental health charity, Shout.
- An event organizer sought excuses to visit the pub.
The Farmer's Dog, Jeremy Clarkson's pub in Asthall, Oxfordshire, recently hosted a lively Red Fox Labrador meet-up. This second gathering welcomed more than 250 Labradors and over 600 attendees, including Clarkson's partner Lisa Hogan. The pub's atmosphere was described as memorable, filled with wagging tails and enthusiasm.
Organized as a fun event, the gathering also served a significant charitable purpose. Proceeds from ticket sales are supporting Shout, a 24/7 text service dedicated to the mental health of farmers. This initiative highlights how community events can contribute to important causes.
The event's success follows a previous meet in 2024 that gathered 179 dogs. This year's attendees enjoyed activities like a lookalike contest, judged by Hogan, for dogs resembling the pub's sign. Despite a bit of rain, the spirits remained high.
