A remarkable reunion has brought a lost cat, Fridge, back to its owner, Nakee Bullen, after an astonishing 40 days in the Colorado wilderness. Bullen and her boyfriend had been traveling from Los Angeles with their two cats when they stopped to camp at Great Sand Dunes National Park. During the night, both cats, Lewis and Fridge, escaped their tent.
While Lewis was found nearby, the 3-year-old Fridge vanished. After an extensive search, Bullen and her boyfriend were forced to leave Fridge behind and continue their journey home to Minnesota. Despite assurances from park rangers that finding Fridge was unlikely, Bullen remained hopeful and regularly checked missing pet listings.
Her persistence paid off when Fridge was eventually brought to a shelter after her 40-day survival. Bullen immediately embarked on a 16-hour drive to retrieve her beloved pet, who was found to be healthy and happy. Bullen affectionately described Fridge as a "fighter" and "certified baddie" following her wilderness adventure.
