Influencer Miranda McKeon, who battled stage 3 breast cancer starting at age 19, has candidly discussed her choice to continue drinking alcohol. In a recent video shared on February 23, she responded to a follower questioning her alcohol consumption given its known links to cancer.
McKeon acknowledged the evidence but described her relationship with alcohol as complex and anxiety-inducing. She expressed that she isn't ready to give up the enjoyment of having beverages with friends, often exceeding recommended weekly limits.
Despite potential future regrets if her cancer were to recur, McKeon emphasized her journey to release self-judgment. "Just because I'm a cancer survivor doesn't mean I should hate myself every time I drink," she stated.
Her comments come shortly after celebrating a significant milestone. Wednesday, February 25, marked four years since McKeon was declared cancer-free, following her diagnosis and subsequent double mastectomy in 2021.
