The Buxar district administration has initiated extensive preparations for the upcoming month-long Shrawani Mela, deploying 174 magistrates and police personnel. The primary objective is to ensure the safety of devotees and maintain law and order throughout the religious event.
Officials have reviewed security, traffic, and crowd-management strategies, particularly around the Baba Brahmeshwar Nath Temple. Mini control rooms will operate at Ramrekha Ghat and Mahadeva Ghat, supported by plainclothes police, QRTs, and regular patrols. Special measures are in effect for the jalbhari ritual, with assistance from local volunteers and community groups.
Traffic restrictions will be enforced on Sundays and Mondays in Buxar town. The municipal administration is enhancing sanitation, providing temporary facilities, and ensuring CCTV functionality. The electricity department will guarantee uninterrupted power supply. Health authorities are prepared with ambulances, medical teams, and essential medicines, including anti-snake venom.
