Holidaymakers at Butlin's resorts in Bognor Regis, Minehead, and Skegness can now enjoy dramatically reduced waiting times for drinks. The company has rolled out more than 100 self-serve bars, marking a significant technological advancement in guest service. This innovation allows for drinks to be dispensed in as little as six seconds, transforming the traditional bar experience.
The investment in this new system aims to enhance guest satisfaction by minimizing time spent queuing. Visitors can opt for a quick serve by scanning their All Inclusive wristband or utilizing contactless payment options. While these automated bars are now active for the summer holidays, traditional bar service will also continue to be available for those who prefer it.
Butlin's, which recently celebrated its 90th anniversary, has invested £1 million in this Boxbars technology. The self-serve bars offer over 20 beverage options, including popular branded beers, spirits, cocktails, and kid-friendly choices. This initiative is part of Butlin's ongoing efforts to improve the guest experience, following the earlier introduction of bookable karaoke pods.
