Bride's Wedding Ruined by Botox "No-Smile"
17 Mar
Summary
- Bride experienced inability to smile due to Botox injections.
- Botox was administered just four weeks before her wedding.
- She retook wedding photos nearly a year later to feel confident.

Marcella Santos, 34, from Austin, Texas, had her wedding day marred by Botox injections that prevented her from smiling. The treatment, intended to relax her jaw muscles for pain relief, was administered just four weeks before her March 8, 2025, wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Santos, who had a positive experience with Botox a year prior, experienced extreme tightness in her jaw and an inability to smile properly within two weeks of the injections. Despite spending approximately $700,000 on the wedding, she felt anxious and unattractive in the official photographs, which she received eight weeks later.
Unhappy with how she looked in her wedding pictures, Santos decided to retake some photos almost a year later. This allowed her to finally feel confident and move past the disappointment, warning other brides to allow ample time for cosmetic procedures before their wedding day.
