Summary
- Bobbi Brown reveals she didn't do Kate Middleton's wedding makeup
- Kate's makeup was done by Bobbi Brown artist Hannah Martin
- Kate was "very involved" in her wedding day look and hairstyle

In a recent interview, makeup mogul Bobbi Brown has revealed that it was not she, but one of her artists, Hannah Martin, who did Kate Middleton's makeup for her 2011 royal wedding to Prince William. This contradicts the longstanding belief that the Princess of Wales had done her own makeup for the big day.
Brown, 68, said she "didn't do her makeup" but wished she had. She explained that it was Martin, who has become "quite a sensation in the U.K.," who was responsible for Kate's iconic wedding day look. Brown shared that she and Martin were texting back and forth on the morning of the wedding, with Martin excitedly exclaiming, "Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God."
While the makeup company did not claim credit for the look at the time, Brown said she has a note from someone who wrote on behalf of the royal, thanking them for the makeup. The future Princess of Wales' wedding day glam squad also included hair stylists James Pryce and Richard Ward, who created her cascading curls with a half-updo. Ward noted that Kate was "very involved" in her chosen style, which aimed to strike a balance between feeling natural and reflecting the occasion.
