Best Friends Expecting Multiples at the Same Time: A Pregnancy Surprise
13 Nov
Summary
- Two friends, Madison and Jamesen, planned to become mothers together in 2024
- Madison gave birth to twins, while Jamesen had triplets
- The friends supported each other through high-risk pregnancies and NICU stays

In 2024, two best friends, Madison Knight and Jamesen Hicks, were overjoyed to discover they were both expecting babies at the same time. The 28-year-old and 26-year-old, from Dothan, Alabama, had talked about starting families together and were delighted when their dreams became a reality.
However, the surprises didn't stop there. During her first ultrasound, Madison learned she was having twins, a fact she had "known all along." Months later, Jamesen discovered she was expecting triplets, a shock as she had "fully believed" she was only having one baby.
Despite the challenges of high-risk pregnancies and their newborns spending time in the NICU, the friends leaned on each other for support. Madison says Jamesen was "one of the few people approved to visit the NICU" and provided "quiet support" during that difficult time. Jamesen credits Madison's presence for helping her through.
Now, the new moms and their five babies - Madison's 9-month-old twins and Jamesen's 6-month-old triplets - meet up daily, creating a "beautiful kind of chaos" as the families bond. The friends are grateful for the unexpected journey they've shared, calling it "the most rewarding time" of their lives.
