The Sanjay Nagar Rasthe Hubba 2026 transformed a street near Boulevard Park into a lively community hub, bringing residents of Sanjay Nagar and RMV 2nd Stage together. This inaugural event, a part of the BLR Hubba initiative, featured over 50 stalls offering a variety of items, from traditional chaats and probiotic drinks to hand-woven dhurries from Navalgund and upcycled fabric clothing. Unique attractions included aromatics from recycled flowers, rural Karnataka games, a book lending library, and local artwork, emphasizing a strong local focus.
The festival aimed to promote environmental safety, health, socio-economic development, and cultural heritage within neighborhoods. District Governor Elizabeth Cherian inaugurated the event, stressing the ripple effect of community responsibility. The stage buzzed with dance and musical performances, including a heartwarming act by twenty senior citizens aged over 80. Rotary Bangalore Rajamahal Vilas president, Rajagopal Hegde, expressed plans to host the Rasthe Hubba annually, citing the pleasant weather and the tree-lined street as ideal settings for the 127 local performers.
