The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are set to host two unique global record attempts this weekend, May 2 and May 3, at Swaraj Dweep. These events aim to highlight the region as a premier destination for underwater adventure and eco-tourism.
At Swaraj Dweep, also known as Havelock Island, divers will attempt to break world records for the "Largest Flag Unfurled Underwater" and the "Tallest Human Stack Underwater." The first record attempt will feature a 60m by 40m Indian flag unfurled near Radha Nagar Beach. Following this, divers will strive to form a human structure at least 10m tall near the lighthouse off the Swaraj Dweep jetty.
These meticulously planned events involve trained divers, technical experts, and safety teams working to meet international standards. The initiative seeks to draw global attention and showcase the islands' appeal for scuba diving and eco-tourism, promising a memorable experience for visitors.
