Adult Entertainer Denied Miss GB Entry Over Career

An adult entertainer from Gloucestershire has spoken out against the Miss Great Britain pageant, calling its entry rules "outdated" and discriminatory. Emily Kathleen was reportedly told her career as a webcam model, which involves livestreaming naked, violates the competition's terms. This is despite her success in building a business that employs over 1,000 models and generates approximately £3m annually.

Kathleen, who previously experienced homelessness with her young son, sought to enter the pageant for personal confidence. However, the rules state contestants must not have posed nude or topless and must not have anything in their background that would bring the brand into disrepute. She has since won a regional title in a separate pageant, Miss Glamour, aiming to be a trailblazer for others in her industry.

While Kathleen advocates for rule changes, other pageant participants believe the rules are necessary to protect the brand's image. Miss Great Britain has updated its rules in the past, notably after a previous winner was disqualified for conduct deemed to bring the competition into disrepute.
