Tony and Joy Bull, a devoted couple, are celebrating an extraordinary 75 years of marriage. They first met as children in Tooting, South London, and later married in 1951. Now residing in a North Yorkshire care home, their enduring relationship is notable for never having had a significant argument.
Tony, 95, and Joy, 94, have spent most of the past eight decades together. Joy, who has dementia, resides on a separate floor for specialized care, but the couple makes every effort to spend time with each other daily.
Their long life together has seen them raise four children, who have since blessed them with 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, all living across the UK. Last month, they marked their 75th anniversary with family, receiving a special card from King Charles.
When asked about the secret to their lasting love, Tony emphasizes unselfishness and a willingness to give and take. He fondly recalls shared interests in animals, sport, and music, humorously noting Joy's blouse color reminded him of his favorite song, 'Lady in Red.'
