Henry Jordan embarked on a gruelling 100-hole golf challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. He began his effort at 04:30 BST at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex in Churchdown. Jordan aims to raise £5,000 for the charity that has supported his family since his wife, Laura, was diagnosed with stage four cancer 18 months ago.
Mrs Jordan's cancer spread in March and is now incurable, following surgery. She has completed seven rounds of chemotherapy. Jordan expressed his motivation, stating that if his wife can endure her treatments, he can complete this demanding golf challenge. The event, expected to conclude around 20:00 BST, involved Jordan walking an estimated 30 miles.
In addition to Jordan's golf marathon, a silent auction was also held at the golf club to gather further donations for Macmillan Cancer Support. His father, Phil, participated and expressed immense pride in his son's efforts amidst their family's challenging circumstances. Jordan has previously participated in other charity events, including a trail run in 2025.
