Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (C&A) has introduced a new Walk-In Mental Health Assessment Clinic to swiftly connect children and adolescents with professional mental health care. This initiative aims to alleviate the lengthy wait times and uncertainty families often face when seeking services.
The clinic, located at C&A's Belden office, operates on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. It provides immediate access to professional assessments without requiring prior appointments. Families, even those not currently patients of C&A, can receive same-day evaluations.
Through a grant from the Austin-Bailey Wellness Foundation, the clinic ensures that children and families receive a diagnosis, establish treatment goals, and learn about appropriate next steps for care. C&A, founded in 1976, serves over 9,000 children and families annually, strengthening Stark County by fostering healthy, resilient lives.
