- Homes from Home provide comfort and reduce financial strain for families.
- The 5k a Day in June challenge aims to keep families together.

Young Lives vs Cancer provides crucial support for children and young people diagnosed with cancer. The charity operates 10 Homes from Home across the UK, strategically located near principal treatment centers.
These accommodations offer families a comfortable and well-equipped space, reducing the financial strain of travel, accommodation, and food costs. They are designed to feel like home, offering amenities such as kitchens, laundry facilities, and lounges for families to connect and find normality.
The Homes from Home played a significant role for Orla's family during her treatment for a brain tumour at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Her sisters stayed at Paul's House, one of the charity's accommodations, allowing them to remain close to their parents and Orla.
Currently, Young Lives vs Cancer is running its annual '5k a Day in June' challenge. This initiative encourages the public to complete a 5k walk or run daily throughout June to raise funds and support their mission of keeping families together during cancer treatment.
