Women's Day Prep: Self-Defense & Empowerment Events Launch

Ahead of International Women's Day, celebrations have begun in SPSR Nellore and Prakasam districts. Various organizations are hosting cultural programs, games, and awareness events.
The police departments in both districts have launched self-defense training initiatives for women and girls. Nellore district police also screened inspirational films for students, emphasizing women's empowerment and equality. These programs aim to build mental strength and self-defense skills.
An awareness program organized by the Central Bureau of Communication highlighted government schemes for women's welfare. In Prakasam district, women employees were permitted to participate in competitions until March 7. Additionally, an NGO and the State AIDS Control Society held an awareness event on HIV and TB in Ongole, including health screenings.
