Rebecca Boumstein, who has overcome cancer twice, established the Hair For You foundation to provide essential wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. Having personally experienced the emotional impact of hair loss during chemotherapy at a young age, Boumstein recognized the significant financial burden and emotional need associated with obtaining these wigs, as they are often costly and not covered by insurance.
The Hair For You Foundation is hosting its annual Family Fun Day event this Saturday at Tamarak Day Camp and Country School in Lincolnshire. The event will run from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, including a bounce house, a petting zoo, pony rides, field games, and live entertainment. More information and RSVP details are available on the foundation's website.
