A 34-year-old man from Wrexham nearly lost his life after dismissing symptoms like headaches and brain fog for months, attributing them to exhaustion. His wife, Kelly, urged him to seek medical attention, which eventually led to a diagnosis of glioblastoma, an aggressive and terminal brain cancer.
Following Kelly's insistence, he visited a GP and later A&E, where a CT scan revealed a 4.5-centimetre tumor. Although surgeons successfully removed 95% of the growth at the Walton Centre in Liverpool, he was informed the cancer was terminal, with a limited life expectancy.
Despite the devastating news, Josh has undergone radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He now focuses on creating memories, enjoying activities, and advocating for increased investment in brain tumor research in the UK. Around 3,200 people in the UK are diagnosed with glioblastoma annually, with poor survival rates.
