Inspire, a new free and confidential service, has begun supporting residents across the West Northamptonshire Council area. Launched recently, it aims to provide timely assistance to those impacted by alcohol or drug use. This collaborative effort involves specialist organizations such as Turning Point, Bridge, Family Support Link, Double Impact, and Framework.
The service operates from key locations in Northampton, including Billing Road and Gold Street, with additional satellite clinics in Daventry, Towcester, Brackley, and Brixworth. Residents can also access help and resources online, including ordering naloxone, a critical medication for reversing overdoses.
Inspire focuses on comprehensive support, extending to mental health issues co-occurring with substance use and actively working to raise awareness about the risks associated with drug consumption. The program's core objective is to empower individuals to initiate positive life changes, reintegrate into their communities, and find pathways toward training, education, and employment.
