£2.1M Boost for West Midlands Hospices

Minister for Care, Stephen Kinnock, confirmed the allocation, highlighting its importance for improving patient environments. Several hospices received notable amounts, including Acorns Children's Hospice with over £402,700 and Severn Hospice with nearly £300,000.
This initiative is part of a broader government strategy to transform palliative care. An additional £125 million in capital investment for hospices nationwide and a pledge of £80 million over three years specifically for children's hospices underscore this commitment. The aim is to eliminate the 'postcode lottery' in healthcare access.
