Wellington High Reports Second Measles Case

Wellington High School has notified its community about a second confirmed case of measles. The affected individual lives in the same household as the first person diagnosed with the illness, a case initially reported on April 22. School administrators stressed that the second individual was not present on campus during their contagious period.

Officials emphasized that there has been no known exposure of measles to students or staff within the school environment. They advised parents to seek immediate medical consultation if their child develops symptoms like fever, cough, runny nose, or red eyes. Measles, while rarely causing long-term issues, can be severe and potentially fatal.
