Flu & Covid Boosters: Walk-in Clinics This Week!
19 Jan
Summary
- Walk-in clinics are available across the island for flu and Covid-19 boosters.
- Nearly 6,000 Covid-19 booster doses administered by January 12th.
- Clinics offer convenient access, especially for those struggling to reach GPs.

Residents on the island are encouraged to attend walk-in clinics for their flu jabs and Covid-19 boosters this week. These sessions are specifically designed for individuals who have found it difficult to get to their usual GP or pharmacy, ensuring easier access to vital vaccinations. The initiative aims to boost uptake among eligible islanders.
Public Health Jersey reported that as of January 12th, almost 6,000 Covid-19 booster doses had been administered this winter. While over half of islanders aged 75 and above have accepted the Covid-19 booster offer, efforts continue to encourage wider participation.
Eligible individuals for flu vaccines include those aged 65 and over, care home residents, pregnant women, carers, and those with clinical risks. Covid-19 boosters are available for those aged 75 and over, care home residents, and individuals with a suppressed immune response. The clinics are running from 10:00 to 16:00 GMT across various parishes.
