- Hospital staff and doctors provided statements to the inquiry committee.
- The family claims sepsis was not disclosed, leading to delayed treatment.

A six-member commission, established by the government, commenced an investigation into the recent death of college student Vevina Dasari. The student passed away on December 25, 2024, under alleged circumstances of medical negligence at a private hospital in Visakhapatnam.
Doctors and staff connected to the case attended an inquiry at King George Hospital. Vevina's father detailed that his daughter was admitted on December 10 with low creatinine and blood urea levels, placed on dialysis, and later diagnosed with sepsis on December 13. He claims the sepsis diagnosis was not communicated.
He further alleged that after being informed Vevina was fine and discharged on December 23, she experienced severe breathing difficulties the next day. She was readmitted, but tragically passed away the following day. Statements have been recorded as the investigation proceeds.
