Varanasi has seen a significant push in women's health through the Namo Shakti Rath initiative, which began its operations on January 14. This campaign has successfully screened approximately 11,500 women for breast cancer across both urban and rural districts.
The initiative utilizes 20 specially equipped Namo Shakti Rath vans, provided by the ITV Foundation, featuring state-of-the-art screening technology. Nine vans operated in rural areas and eleven in urban settings, reaching over 56 wards and 59 gram panchayats. This effort ensures comprehensive screening services are available.
