The journey involved extensive fundraising and a long trek to Chennai for the complex surgery. Medical expenses, amounting to approximately ₹1 lakh per eye operation, were covered through the NGO's support and public crowdfunding initiatives. This collaborative effort ensured the twins received the specialized care they needed.
Retinopathy of Prematurity is a condition affecting premature babies, often linked to low birth weight. Medical experts emphasize that early detection and timely examination within 30 days of birth can prevent such cases, highlighting the importance of neonatal eye care.
