The Tennessee Health Facilities Commission has officially granted TriStar Summit Medical Center the Certificate of Need required to proceed with constructing an $18 million freestanding emergency room in Lebanon. This significant development is set to enhance local healthcare accessibility.
The proposed TriStar Lebanon ER will be situated at the intersection of Willard Hagan Drive and South Hartmann Drive. Plans detail a facility equipped with 11 treatment rooms, one of which is designated as a trauma room, alongside comprehensive on-site laboratory and imaging services.
This new emergency room is designed to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing critical emergency medical care to the growing population of Wilson County. Mayor Rick Bell welcomed the project, noting that increased healthcare options directly contribute to a better quality of life for Lebanon's residents.
Cindy Bergmeier, CEO of TriStar Summit, stated that the new ER will be vital in ensuring patients receive high-quality emergency care close to home, especially during critical moments. The announcement follows TriStar's initial plans to apply for the Certificate of Need last year, marking a key step forward in the project.
